Kadyn smiled at his reflection. “How do I look, Vince?”

Vincent studied the clown outfit made from long johns, and began doing up the flap’s buttons. “Capable of attracting attention without your backside showing.”

“I’m letting it cool down.”

“There’d be no need if you hadn’t been disrespectful. I agreed to accompany you to this event launching Gay Pride Week, provided costumes were optional.”

“It’s a ‘Like a Circus’ party. All my friends will be dressed up.”

“Their partners won’t be.”

“Like you, they’re going as ‘Party Poopers’. Costumes aren’t needed.” He chuckled, sidestepping the swat headed his way.
