Body Painting Aftermath for Kadyn

Co-written by: Myst and LJ

Vincent could hardly believe what he’d just heard. Kadyn had been picked up for streaking! As he turned the sign on the store to ‘Closed, please call again’ and locked the door, he wondered what Kadyn could have been thinking. He knew Kadyn was young and impulsive, but streaking?

As he got out of the car in the parking lot, he spotted Zack and Rene. Apparently he was not alone in retrieving an errant partner. Checking the backseat, Vincent grabbed up an oversized T-shirt Kadyn had left behind the last time he used the vehicle. “Thank heavens it was still there,” he muttered to himself as he hurried into the police station.

Meanwhile, Kadyn was quietly observing the other four men sitting around the table. Rene had left all of five minutes ago and he was already missing his friend’s supporting presence. He’d barely managed to whisper a ‘see you later’ before Rene was taken out of the room.

“Wonder which of us will be the next lucky one,” he uttered with a forced grin. Aside from a bit of squirming from a couple of his fellow miscreants and Kyler folding his arms on the table and putting his head down on them, nobody actually responded.

Kadyn shrugged his shoulders, glanced down at the design on his chest and smiled. “I still say we look spectacular. The whole afternoon has been a blast.”

Kyler lifted his head with a groan. “Yeah, it was. But time will tell if it was really worth it.” Grumbled agreements echoed in the room.

“Oh come on, guys. Cheer up will ya,” Cameron piped up. “Kadyn’s right; it was great up until we got arrested. Just because it had a bad ending doesn’t make the first part any less fun.” He caught Kyler’s glance his way. “Well it was!” he said defensively to his friend.

Time seemed to drag on before the door opened again. Officer Quincy looked around until he made eye contact with Kadyn. Then he crooked his finger to indicate that the young man was to come with him.

Kadyn readily complied with the unspoken command and after giving a wave to the others, went out to face whatever the rest of his day held for him. He followed the officer down the short hallway to Chief Barrett’s office and felt a sense of relief when he caught a glimpse of his partner pacing in front of the big desk.

Vincent quickly looked around and saw that Kadyn appeared unhurt. His eyes widened when he saw the body paint and he shook his head. “Here,” he said brusquely as he handed Kadyn the T-shirt. “Put this on while I see what needs to be done for you to be released.”

Kadyn hastily donned the article of clothing under Vincent’s watchful eye. He was being unusually quiet as he tried to size up the older man and figure out just how ticked off Vincent really was.

“Chief Barrett, what do I need to do to get Kadyn released?” Vincent inquired.

“Not too much actually. He has a fine of one hundred dollars to take care of and I need a guarantee that he will show up next weekend at the park for two days of community service.” Chandi bit back a smile as he took in the sight of Kadyn standing there in a shirt that was at least two sizes too big for him.

“Ah, if you pay it for me, Vincent, I’ll get the money back to you first of the week. And I’m good for the slave labour thing too.”

Vincent took out his wallet and paid the fine. “He’ll be at the park bright and early,” he assured the Chief of Police. Taking the receipt from Chandi, he turned to Kadyn. “Let’s go home.”

Kadyn sent a brief shrug of apology in the officers’ direction and hastily followed his irate partner outside and over to the parked car. He got in the passenger seat, turned to Vincent as he buckled up and opened his mouth to say thanks and offer an apology, but was quickly forestalled.

“Not a word. We will discuss this, but not until I’ve calmed down.”

The drive home was silent and fortunately, not too long. As they walk in the house, Vincent sternly ordered, “Upstairs and in the shower. I want all of the paint off and then you can wait in your corner. I’ll be up in a few minutes.”

“But, Vincent…” The look on his partner’s face had Kadyn realizing he’d better get while the getting was good. Taking the stairs two at a time, the young man headed directly for the study. He only paused long enough to kick off his sneakers; one landing on the bottom step and the other, two steps higher.

“No way am I removing all Rene’s artwork without Vince taking a good look at it.” He griped as he pulled the t-shirt over his head and dropped it on the floor. Then he crossed over to the junction between the two walls next to Vincent’s desk, and continued mumbling under his breath while leaning against the wall and lightly kicking at the baseboard.

Meanwhile, Vincent puttered around the kitchen getting a cold drink and worked on calming himself down. After several long minutes of silently fuming, he took a deep breath and headed for the stairs. He shook his head in mild exasperation as he picked up his Brat’s shoes and placed them together near the front door, before steadily making his way up to the study.

He saw the t-shirt on the floor and decided to leave it there. A smile played across his handsome features and he quietly watched the young man fidgeting in the corner. He looked closer and found himself being drawn to the multitude of colours and patterns on Kaydn’s back. The sight of an alien’s face painted on the back of Kadyn’s head really had his eyes widening. The intricate artwork astounded him even as his Brat’s shaved head set his teeth on edge. He’d loved the feel of his lover’s hair under his hand. What was he going to run his fingers through now?

Vincent decided to put on hold, both the shaven head and the disobedience in not showering as instructed. “Come here, Kadyn,” he mildly requested, fighting to keep his temper under wraps.

Kadyn turned and slowly walked over to the older man, trying to judge Vincent’s mood by the expression on his face; he did not look the least bit happy.

“Whatever possessed you to do all that you did today?” Vincent demanded quietly.

Kadyn shrugged his shoulders. “I wanted to be in on the fun, Vincent. It was just a bunch of guys having a good time and working on a surprise for their partners. What can I say? Things just got a little out of hand.”

“A little?” Vincent paused, looked heavenward and prayed for strength. “I’d say getting arrested made things a great deal out of hand, young man. I can understand you wanting to have some fun with a few friends, but streaking through the park is something I will never condone. What in the world made you do that?”

“Well, after we finished painting and had tidied up the place, we began going through the photos we took. I got some terrific shots of everyone, Vince. Wait ‘til you see them all. They’re so neat. We all did a bang up job of decorating ourselves and each other; especially Rene. He did all the hard stuff. But you have to wait until I retrieve my camera, ‘cause I left it at Billy’s garage.” Kadyn was starting to bounce on his feet.

“I’m sure waiting will not be impossible,” Vincent quipped, taking Kadyn’s hand and walking over to sit on the sofa together. He needed to keep his young partner calm and focused or they’d never get to the crux of the matter. He felt himself relaxing and wanting to listen to this often exasperating, always delightful creature he felt bless to have in his life. “What led to the public nudity, Kadyn?”

“I thought it would be kinda neat to put together a calendar. We had more than enough pictures to do it. Someone suggested doing some market research first. Hmmm, maybe we should have scraped that idea from the get-go, ‘cause that is what led to the streaking. We wanted to get people’s opinion of our artwork. It was only after we got to the park, that we discovered the bike rodeo just finishing up. We tried to get out of there but weren’t fast enough. The cops caught us and hauled us off to the station, where we had to wait for our partners to come and fetch us. Bet you weren’t too thrilled to get that phone call from Chief of Police, huh?”

“Now there’s an understatement! Do you have any idea how easy you guys got off, Kadyn? You were only charged with a misdemeanour. You got fined and in truth, only a minimal amount of community service. You all could have ended up with criminal records, sweetheart. That’s something that would follow you around for the rest of your life.”

Kadyn blinked before his eyes widened as the seriousness of his actions began to sink in. “Now that you mention it, that’s close to what Chandi said when he chewed us out. Who’d have thought?”

“Apparently not you,” Vincent replied and shook his head. “But I have no intentions of letting you off so lightly here at home, my boy.”

“Are you mad about everything, Vincent?”

“I have no problem with you painting your body, sweetheart.” Vincent ran his hands lightly down his Brat’s chest and turned the younger man to examine his back. “It is very original and I know a lot of work went into it. And although I appreciate you wanting to surprise me, I would have preferred you not having shaved your head in order to do so. I am even willing to overlook your not cleaning it all off when told to.” His wink of amusement was rewarded with a beaming smile from the beautiful man sitting beside him.

Speaking more sternly, Vincent continued. “I do, however, have a big problem with you drinking to the point of sheer foolishness. Just how many beers did you drink anyway, Kadyn?”

“Too much! As you know, I usually only have two and that three’s my limit. Today I had four, but I really can’t handle that many.”

“No, you can’t. As a result, you ended up getting involved in illegal activities and for that you are going to be soundly spanked.”

With the ‘talking’ part of their discussion over, Vincent wasted no time in pulling his naked Brat over his lap and blistering Kadyn’s vulnerable bottom. He relied on his partner’s cries and body language to determine when the lesson had been thoroughly learned. He ended the spanking with a final hard swat on each cheek. Then he pulled the sobbing young man into his arms and began to rock back and forth while gently rubbing Kadyn’s back and murmuring soothing terms of endearment to calm him.

“You d-didn’t have to s-spank so hard, Vincent. That r-really hurt,” Kadyn choked out. The words did not come as a surprise to Vincent; they were actually expected.

Kadyn clutched onto his Top and rubbed his face on the older man’s shirt. The hand that had delivered so much pain to his backside now moved in comforting circles on his back and his crying slowly changed to intermittent hitches and whimpers.

Leaning heavily against Vincent’s chest and feeling secure in the arms surrounding him, Kadyn zoned out a bit in the aftermath of the spanking. Several minutes of quiet time followed, as Vincent rhythmically rocked his young lover and softly hummed to him.

“Vince!” Kadyn gazed up through red-rimmed eyes. “Have I paid?”

“In full, my love,” Vincent assured him and smiled down to drop a loving kiss on Kadyn’s forehead. “The slate has been cleared.”

“So we can bake some chocolate chips cookies? Nice chewy ones?”

Vincent didn’t know why his Brat associated baking his favourite cookies with being forgiven, but he’d never deny Kadyn this request. “Right after supper, honey; which will be right after you have a shower.”

“Okay,” Kadyn answered amicably. He threw his arms around Vincent’s neck and firmly kissed his lips. “Love you, big guy.” Placing his hands on the other man’s broad shoulders, Kadyn pushed himself to his feet and headed for the hall. “I’ll do that while you get a meal ready.”

“Love you to, sweetheart!” Vincent called out to his rapidly disappearing partner. He chuckled softly to himself as he made his way down to the kitchen.

A couple of hours later, both men were curled up in a large recliner and watching an old movie while enjoying freshly baked cookies with glasses of cold milk. Kadyn’s butt was still sore but the rest of him felt good. He pouted when their tranquillity was disturbed by the phone ringing. “Don’t answer, Vince.”

Vincent kissed his Brat’s cheek and reached for the phone despite his partner’s wishes. “Hello.” He glanced at Kadyn and mouthed, ‘It’s Mason Monroe’. “I see. (Pause) Of course, Mason. I’ll drop him off myself tomorrow afternoon. (Pause) Goodbye.”

“What was that all about?”

“It seems like you and your friends left the garage in a mess. He expects you all to help clean it up.”

“We already straightened up things.” Kadyn was indignant at someone saying otherwise.

“Not according to Mason, you didn’t.” Vincent couldn’t help but laugh at the scowl on his Brat’s gorgeous face.

“Is he a Top or something? Tops always exaggerate,” Kadyn huffed and crossed his arms.

“Not true, Brat.” Vincent responded as he landed a light swat on the younger man’s hip. “While it might have looked tidy through your inebriated eyes, it apparently didn’t through Mason’s sober ones. Now you’re going to go back there and do your fair share. Any arguments and you’ll find yourself back over my knee.”

“All right, I’ll do it. But only because I have to go back anyway and pick up my camera.” With that, Kadyn settled back against the bigger man and stuffed the rest of his cookie into his mouth.

“You little terror,” Vincent grumbled and rolled his eyes. “Thank goodness, I come from a family that’s been blessed with a long life expectancy.” He smiled secretly to himself. Longevity, be damned. If he didn’t have this of-times exasperating, always vivacious bundle of mischief in his life, he’d die of sheer boredom.

The End
